Helpers or Hinderers?

Helpers or Hinderers

Do you know your team members? Are they here to Help or Hinder? Answering these two questions could mean the difference between success and failure as a leader and as a company.

Helper: Does what needs to be done for the good of the others around him and the company. Has loyalty.

Hinderer: Does what is good for their self with no thought to those around them or the company. Has NO loyalty.

Helper: Is all about the mission.

Hinderer: Is all about the position / title.

Helper: Can be counted on to finish the task given – every time.

Hinderer: Talks big – never finishes without help.

Helper: Love what they do, are happy, and a joy to be around.

Hinderer: Always looking for a new job, complaining, and not a joy to be around.

Helper: Takes joy in seeing and helping others succeed.

Hinderer: Sees everything as a Win – Lose situation with everything revolving around them.

Helper: Integrity is the key: Doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do. Every day.

Hinderer: It is all about the outside show. Does only what needs to be done when someone is looking.

Helper: Makes the hard decisions and is willing to pay the price.

Hinderer: Only makes easy decisions and never willing to pay the price.

Helper: Will always finish on top! They understand that hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, and loyalty are the way to live.

Hinderer: Wants it now! Has the “You Owe Me” mind set and is never completely happy.

Helpers: (Leaders) add to your team.

Hinderers: (Wannabes) Subtract from your team.

Choosing wisely is the key to a successful team and company.
